Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven General Manager to oversee all aspects of our dealership’s operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive sales, finance, and service management, with a track record of improving dealership performance and delivering exceptional customer service. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitability, increasing sales, and ensuring operational excellence while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations across sales, finance, and service departments. Ensure all departments function seamlessly and are aligned with the dealership’s goals.
• Financial Performance: Monitor and analyze dealership financials, ensuring profitability and cost-efficiency. Develop strategies to improve sales and maximize gross profits.
• Sales and Marketing Strategy: Create and implement strategies to increase vehicle sales, enhance brand reputation, and attract new customers. Work closely with marketing teams to drive local and digital marketing initiatives.
• Customer Experience: Champion a customer-first culture that promotes high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Resolve escalated customer concerns and ensure a positive experience for every visitor.
• Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor staff across departments. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies for team development, engagement, and retention.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure dealership adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Maintain a safe, compliant, and high-quality facility.
Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the automotive industry, with at least 3 years in a management or senior leadership role within a dealership environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Automotive Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strategic thinking, and a solid understanding of automotive sales and finance.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in dealership management software, inventory management, and familiarity with financial reporting and metrics analysis.
• Customer-Centric Mindset: A commitment to delivering an outstanding customer experience, with demonstrated problem-solving skills and a track record of high customer satisfaction.
