JOB OVERVIEW

Sales Consultant at a Genesis dealership is responsible for assisting customers in selecting and purchasing Genesis vehicles that meet their needs and preferences. This role involves building strong customer relationships, providing product knowledge and expertise, conducting test drives, and guiding customers through sales. Sales Consultants are pivotal in achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Customer Interaction: Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner as they visit the dealership. Build rapport and establish positive relationships with potential buyers.
  2. Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Genesis vehicle lineup, including features, specifications, technology, and options. Stay updated on new models and changes in product offerings.
  3. Consultative Sales: Actively listen to customers' needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide expert guidance and recommendations to help customers select the right Genesis vehicle.
  4. Vehicle Demonstrations: Conduct informative and engaging vehicle demonstrations, highlighting the features and benefits of specific models. Encourage customers to experience test drives.
  5. Test Drives: Accompany customers on test drives, ensuring their safety and comfort. Answer questions and address concerns during and after the test drive.
  6. Sales Process: Guide customers through the sales process, including discussing pricing, financing options, and available incentives. Provide transparent and accurate information.
  7. Customer Education: Explain the advantages of Genesis ownership, including warranty coverage, maintenance services, and technology support. Address inquiries related to vehicle operation and maintenance.
  8. Follow-up: Maintain contact with potential buyers and existing customers through phone calls, emails, and other communication channels. Provide timely responses to inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction.
  9. Sales Targets: Work toward achieving or exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the dealership. Keep accurate records of sales activities and prospects.
  10. Documentation: Complete paperwork related to vehicle sales, including sales contracts, financing agreements, and other required documentation. Ensure accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
  11. Upselling: Identify opportunities for upselling accessories, extended warranties, and additional services to enhance the customer's ownership experience.
  12. Product Presentation: Ensure vehicles on the showroom floor and in the lot are clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing. Assist in creating an attractive vehicle display.
  13. Market Knowledge: Stay informed about the local automotive market, competitors, and industry trends. Use this knowledge to adapt sales strategies and remain competitive.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Sales Experience: Previous experience in automotive sales.
  2. Product Knowledge: A keen interest in and knowledge of automotive products, especially the Genesis brand and its models, is essential. Training and certification from the manufacturer are often provided.
  3. Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, including strong communication, active listening, and the ability to build rapport with customers.
  4. Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiation techniques to reach mutually beneficial agreements with customers.
  5. Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude when interacting with customers and colleagues.
  6. Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency for tasks such as accessing inventory, entering customer information, and generating sales documentation.
  7. Sales Targets: A goal-oriented mindset and the ability to work toward and achieve sales targets.
  8. Product Presentation: Attention to detail in presenting vehicles and maintaining showroom aesthetics.
  9. Driver's License: A valid driver's license is typically required for conducting test drives and other job-related tasks.
  10. Ethical Conduct: Uphold high ethical standards and integrity when dealing with customers, colleagues, and dealership policies.
